Autumn is a blogger’s dream season, I mean could a time of year get any more photographically pleasing? From pumpkins and gourds to berry lipstick, cashmere socks and cream laden hot chocolate, it’s Instagram and flat lay heaven. I for one am in my element. Despite trying to blag bare carpet grips and magnolia walls as interior design features in my new abode (fear not our wonderful painter starts tomorrow) a pumpkin pie scented candle is filling the air with a delectable blend of clove, nutmeg and ginger and even my fruit bowl is filled with miniature white pumpkins. The rest of my house is so not snap ready at the moment but at least I’m set for #autumn. Oh and let’s not forget the tin of pumpkin puree in the cupboard that’s waiting to be transformed into pumpkin spiced cupcakes that will no doubt be enjoyed alongside a cinnamon dusted chai latte. Too much?! Well, there’s definitely one thing you can’t overdo this season and that’s the sartorial palette of warm autumnal hues on offer from the purveyors of luxe, Scotch & Soda. From burnt orange to brushed gold and rich green, take a look at what’s in store and how our Sarah has been styling key pieces this week…
This time last year I was strolling along the beach in Camber Sands in dungarees and a tee and even sunnies were a must. It’s hard to believe it was October and this year feels much the same; whilst we may be waking up to dewy grass, it’s accompanied by beaming sunshine and a freshness to the air-so far! So, warmth is not necessarily a sartorial factor that needs considering but as the leaves turn golden you’ll want to follow suit…Style a la Sarah and reach for the Scotch & Soda blush pleated skirt- a beautiful piece with a silky feel and a rosy metallic sheen. The drawstring waist welcomes a nonchalant t-shirt tuck and you can steal Sarah’s style by teaming it with the Scotch & Soda snow leopard tee and of course a pair of Air & Grace kicks.
An advocate of “invest more, wear less”, Sarah proved the styling power of said snow leopard tee by reworking it later in the week for a night on the tiles. Upgrading the crew neck to cocktail worthy status she slinked into a leather pencil skirt, favourite heels and her go-to leopard print clutch for a look that offers the perfect solution to a “nice top and jeans” fallback.
Proving that the paint box palette of Spring Summer 18 wasn’t just a one hit wonder, Scotch has added a splash of rich energising green to this season’s collection. The green tailored joggers offer a refreshing alternative to your go-to denim and are certain to uplift your street style ensemble- who can resist a tapered leg, velvet side stripes and pockets. Take a cue from our Saz and pair with oh so on trend leopard-it may be the print du jour but it’s a timeless one at that and this beauty from Scotch is from last year yet is clearly still ultra current. Case in point that when you invest in Scotch, it invests in you and will be a dependable part of your wardrobe for years to come.
Good tailoring is key to every woman’s wardrobe and well-chosen, classic styles will serve you well for years to come, but who says the print on them has to be boring? We’ve already proved that the Scotch & Soda leopard print blazer isn’t just a ‘trend’ piece and this year’s version is no different, as thanks to premium fabrics and a perfect fit the Snow Leopard Jacquard Blazer will prove its worth as your best ally. The statement making blazer is not only seriously chic but can be re-worked in so many different ways, giving you multiple options when it comes to outfit building. Sarah pattern clashed with confidence and united the blazer of dreams with the Scotch & Soda Jacquard Print Trousers featuring a print of which Hokusai would approve. The Snow Leopard is known as King of the Mountains so whether you team your blazer with a tee, skinnies and kicks for off-duty cool or ramp up the power levels for the boardroom, make sure you let the world hear you roar.
