Does the thought of a sale fill you with dread? Well fear not because at WSd we’ve made the whole experience rather enjoyable. Our sale rail is treated in the same way as our other rails- with love and attention; you won’t ever find anything on the floor or clinging onto one arm of a hanger for dear life. Despite their lowered price tag, the items in our sale are still pieces to be treasured and adored and every single piece is worthy of someone’s capsule wardrobe. In fact when I was working in store last Sunday, a beautiful lady was perusing our offerings and spotted the Hope & Ivy dress, remarking with pure joy, “this is exactly what I’ve been looking for”. She tried the gorgeous beaded dress on and looked like she had been poured into it- the perfect dress for the ball she is going to this weekend…oh and to top it off it had £50 off! So in this week’s blog we’re rounding up our top sale picks to help everyone go to the ball and still have change for a round of champagne…

Every girl needs a reliable shirt for those “jeans and a nice top” evenings and the Mos Mosh Maude Gold Dot shirt (was £109, now £85) will certainly be your go-to. Feminine in style, this beauty is designed with a loose fit and fabulous smocked sleeves whilst the elegant crepe is adorned with lurex detailing and perfected with gold buttons. Requiring little more than a pair of leather trousers, your fave heels, gold hoops and a clutch, Maude will be your best friend when it comes to those moments when you only have time for a quick change and a lippy touch-up.

You may be thinking January is too late to invest in winter boots but in actual fact its probably the best time- let’s be honest we definitely have a few months of cold weather left ahead of us. The sale price of the Emu Australia Ellin boot is quite frankly jaw dropping- these babies were originally £149 and are now just £85. So for less than 1 hunny, you get a waterproof leather boot that’s lined with genuine Australian Merino wool which is set to keep your tootsies oh so toastie. The classic Chelsea style is one that will never date and looks just as good with jeans as it does with a dress and tights combo.

A good quality t-shirt will form the backbone of your weekend wardrobe and prove its worth in chillier climes as an essential layer, then reinvent itself over spring summer to help you keep your cool.  The Mos Mosh Kenia Glam Stripe tee (was £49, now £35) is super versatile and can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood and whether you’ve got a date with a green juice or a cocktail.  I love this V-neck beauty teamed with the Scotch & Soda Tassel Jacket (was £169, now £90) and jeans for a maximum impact look that requires minimum effort.
